By J.E. Nickerson Have you ever laid in bed and struggled to fall asleep? Many people have routines that they rely on to fall asleep at night. For some it’s watching TV, other people like to read a book or listen to a podcast or audio book on their device. For me, listening to a favorite playlist is usually the best way to calm my body, when I am in bed and preparing to sleep. While these methods are all useful and can prepare our bodies for rest, only God can truly give us the ability to sleep and give us peace. Many people struggle to enjoy the peace they want, because of the worries and problems of life. But King David, the psalmist, tells us that God leads us in peaceful paths in life and makes us able to lay our head down and rest, because he sustains us and take care of us.
