Finding the right gifts, getting them delivered on time, planning and affording holiday meals and family drama, can make this time of year very difficult for many people. But it doesn’t have to be this way.  Peace and good will towards men, are gifts God wants you to unwrap this year. God’s son, Jesus Christ, came to earth during a very stressful time. The oppressive Roman Empire was in charge of the Jews. Roman soldiers abused the people they were over and used their military power to coerce the people they ruled over.  When the angels announced the birth of Jesus, they said do not be afraid. Some bible translations say "do not let your heart be troubled". Jesus’ birth, meant that God was giving us a way to experience true peace in the midst of stressful situations.
