 "Sugar cookies are a popular desert that is often embellished with colorful sprinkles, cocoanut and sometimes colored frosting. Sugar cookies are made from flour, butter, eggs and vanilla. It is thought that the sugar cookie originated in Nazareth, Pennsylvania by German Protestant settlers in the 1700’s. Because of this, sugar cookies were originally known as Nazareth cookies."
