Relying on God to give us direction

Many people wonder what direction they should go in life. Self help books, seminars and podcasts attempt to give guidance and can offer good advice for important life decisions. But what happens when these resources aren’t enough for our needs? The authors of the Bible had many words of wisdom to offer to those looking for guidance in life. The ancient Jewish prophet and writer Isaiah said the following to the people of his generation who were searching for answers in life. And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way; walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand and when ye turn to the left.” 

This gives hope to everyone who is looking for answers in life. As the ancient writer and teacher Paul of Tarsus said, “God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” When self help books, politicians, friends and family can’t give us the answers we need, God is there. He sees our situation and he knows what we need. He will give us direction, wisdom, guidance, peace, hope and everything else we need if we open our life up to him in faith. As you go through your life and make decisions about your future, look to God for wisdom and guidance.
