Do not throw away your confidence

Sometimes the situations in life shake our confidence and hope in the future, national leaders and in ourselves. While situations can fill us with fear or make us question our faith in people, we must never throw away our confidence in God. Only God is always faithful to us and is able to change situations around us. Instead of giving into fear and worry, choose to put your confidence in God and watch him move in your life.

Developing a consistent spiritual journey

  J.E. Nickerson   We often seek God’s guidance in areas like our families, friends, and when we need direction on our faith journey. However, sometimes the answers we desire don’t come as quickly as we expect. Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) offers solace, stating, “But those who wait on the Lord will be renewed in strength; they will soar like eagles, run without fatigue, and walk without becoming weary.” Spiritual growth and waiting on God can be challenging, often leading to impatience and the temptation to resolve issues on our own. However, it’s in these moments that we should lean into consistent prayer and our relationship with God, trusting that He will respond in His perfect time. It’s the heart and foundation of our faith — the moment heaven kissed earth and eternity opened wide. “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” —  Matthew 28:6 This isn’t just a line in scripture — it’s the fulfillment of every promise God made. The tomb is empty. Death is defeated. Love has the final word. And what does that mean for us? It means we don’t walk in darkness anymore. It means hope is alive — not just as a concept, but as a Person.
