“Early Risers vs. Slow Starters: Finding God’s Grace in Every Morning Routine”

 By J.E. Nickerson

Good morning! Have you ever felt as if you are starting your day in slow motion? Or maybe you wake up feeling energized and ready to take on the world. For me, every day is a fresh start, a new adventure waiting to happen.

Psalm 57:8, sums up my approach to a new day perfectly. It says, “Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.” It describes the morning habits of someone who loves life so much that they wake up before most people had even turned on their coffee machines or started getting ready for work. While I am usually ready to greet the day before the sun is shining, not everyone is ready to start the day this early.

Some people prefer a slow and steady beginning to their day full of coffee, news and maybe a little breakfast, before they jump into the race car known as daily life. While both ways of waking up are perfectly normal and have their benefits, there is one person who is awake night and day and never too tired to hear from us. That person is God. He’s there for you when you need him, and he’ll never leave you. He’s always there for you, no matter what.

So, before you start your day, whether you’re an early riser or a late riser, remember that God is with you. He’s always there for you, and he’ll never leave you.
