He Is Risen: The Victory That Changes Everything
J.E. Nickerson
Easter is more than a holiday. It’s the heart and foundation of our faith — the moment heaven kissed earth and eternity opened wide.
“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.”
— Matthew 28:6
This isn’t just a line in scripture — it’s the fulfillment of every promise God made. The tomb is empty. Death is defeated. Love has the final word.
And what does that mean for us?
It means we don’t walk in darkness anymore.
It means hope is alive — not just as a concept, but as a Person.
As Paul said in Romans 5:12— “We also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.” Christ’s resurrection shows us that through him, we can overcome all things even death and the grave. Because Christ rose from the dead we also can have life beyond the grave with him. When we welcome him into our life we can rise above the things that have held us down in life. The resurrection power of Christ brings life to the situations and hopes we thought were buried and would never live again.
Today as you celebrate Easter, open your life to Christ. Ask him into your heart and life. Let him touch the dead things in your life and resurrect your spirit and dreams.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
— 1 Peter 1:3
Happy Resurrection Sunday. May your spirit rise in step with His.
