  What do you see when you live your life? " Those who look for the bad in people will surely find it.” The opposite is also true." Those who look for the best in people will also surely find it.” The underlying message in both sayings is, that which you look for, you will eventually find. So what are you looking for in life ?  That which you look for, you will eventually find .This also raises a few thoughtful questions.  1. As I look for certain things in people, whether good or bad, am I overlooking important qualities in that person that should be considered ? 2. Am I judging people by what I am looking for in their actions and motives that are not there?  3. Am I judging people only based on what I am looking for or want to see, instead of judging them based on all of their attributes and qualities ?   "As Christians, we are told to live a life that is separate from the world’s standards and morals. Romans 12:2 (KJV) says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” The bible is full of examples of the early church apostles and elders, who habitually risked their lives and in the end were killed for their devotion to spreading the word of God. Sadly however, today’s church has lost sight of God’s command to live separately from the world.   “Juneteenth, also called Emancipation Day, celebrates the freedom of slaves who lived in Texas. On June 19, 1865, Major General Gordon Granger, led his union troops to Galveston, Texas to proclaim that the slaves of that state were free. Upon his arrival, he issued General Order Number 3, which stated that by the power of the President of the United States, all slaves in Texas were declared free. This freedom imbued the same property rights that Caucasians enjoyed. Two years before this on January 1, 1863, Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation.   After the Emancipation Proclamation was issued, slaves in Union controlled areas, were freed. “From my childhood, my parents read the bible to me, took me to church, prayed with me and taught me what it meant to have a daily relationship with God. My parents played Christian music, read Christian books to me and encouraged me to develop friendships with other Christians in church and the towns we lived in. To this day, I still enjoy listening to Christian music, finding Christian friends on social media, reading the bible and maintaining a personal relationship with God through prayer and faith.  The lifestyle and morals that our parents display for us, can also be compared to footsteps in the snow, leading us through life. When we look at a snowy piece of ground that no one has traveled through, it is hard to tell what parts are safe to walk on. There might be debris buried under the snow that we cannot see, or holes in the ground that the snow has covered over.
