Enjoying God’s strength in your life
By J.E. Nickerson Have you ever faced a situation that you did not have strength for? Being strong means more than just lifting weights or being able to lift heavy items. Being a strong person also means that you can handle or deal with difficult situations and not be overcome. As a weightlifter, I regularly train my body to stay fit by lifting heavy weights and using guided fitness classes. While this is one of my favorite parts of my daily routine, it takes a special kind of strength to deal with heavy issues in life. Sickness, family issues, work and personal trauma are some of the heavy issues that challenge people’s personal, emotional and spiritual strength. While counseling, advice from friend and family and having faith in yourself are all useful ways of dealing with life’s issues, they cannot give us the strength we need for every situation.
